Marc Edward Heuck, film expert and star of VH1's "Beat the Geeks," has been a friend of mine (Jessica) for many years, and is now a pal of Chas's as well.
Years ago, when MySpace was still the 'hot' site of the moment, I had my music on there and met so many wonderful people who I would later meet in person when I moved to Los Angeles! Marc was one of those awesome people.
He wrote a wonderful blog a few years ago about one of his favorite film actresses, Sarah Holcomb, a comedic queen who later disappeared altogether from the limelight - of her own accord. To this day, no one really knows much about her whereabouts. He used one of my songs from earlier in my career, "Beautiful Broken," produced by music producer Bob McGilpin, to illustrate her life. (Note: this particular song was not written by me, it was written by another songwriter).
I still remember recording this song like it was yesterday! I flew to Nashville with my parents to track the vocals for a few tunes, and when I did I had to miss my high school prom and graduation party. But I never regretted it, or thought twice about the decision. I absolutely love music and being in the studio has always been one of my favorite places to be
